Meeting of Electrical Engineering Council of Rosenergoatom Concern

On 11 and 12 October 2017, Izolyator took part in the meeting of Electrical Engineering Council of Rosenergoatom Concern in Moscow region.

Rosenergoatom Concern JSC is one of the largest electric power generation companies in Russia, and Russia’s nuclear plant operator. The Concern’s main occupation is generation of electrical and thermal energy at its nuclear plants, as well as management of nuclear plants, sources of radiation, nuclear material and radioactive substance storage sites pursuant to the procedure set forth by the legislation of the Russian Federation. The structure of JSC "Concern Rosenergoatom" includes all 10 nuclear power plants of Russia, which have the status of branches of the Concern, and companies that provide activities generating company.

The annual meeting brings together: Rosenergoatom Concern management, chiefs of electric shops of all nuclear power plants, power equipment OEMs and suppliers, scientific and R&D organizations.

The experts met to summarize the results of nuclear power plants’ equipment operation in 2017, consider NPP power equipment reliability issues and suggestions on improvement as well as prospects of nuclear power plants connection to grid.

Pavel Kiryukhin made a report “RIN insulation: research, testing, prospects” where he shared details on the new high-voltage bushings designs.

During the event, Izolyator representatives had talks with Rosenergoatom Concern’s technical specialists on issues of high-voltage bushings operation and realization of the programs of OIP bushings replacement and replenishment of reserves.

During the council’s work, Maxim Zagrebin had business meetings with management representatives of leading Russian transformer plants, where he discussed progress of common projects and current issues of daily interaction. Togliatii Transformer was represented by the Technical Director Andrey Kanivets, Power Machines — Toshiba. High-voltage transformers — by Chief Designer Andrey Sidelnikov.
