Fault-free Transformer 5.0

On 5 and 6 April 2018, the fifth jubilee scientific and practical seminar “Fault-free transformer 5.0. The scientific basis and practical solutions that work” was held in Nizhny Novgorod. As usual, Delta Trafo organized the event with an active support from Izolyator plant.

Representatives of the Academy of Electrical Sciences of the Russian Federation and its Nizhny Novgorod branch, Delta Trafo Ltd., Izolyator, MR Ltd, RIM Ltd, Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Engineering Center of UralEnergoEngineering, Energotechnologiya R&D and production center, Kazan State Energy University took part in the seminar this year.

Representatives of the scientific community provided the foundation for obtaining practical knowledge. PhD candidates and doctors of engineering were among speakers, who made reports about reliability of power supply and modern methods of assessment of remaining lifetime of an insulating system.

Izolyator was represented by Alexander Slavinsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Head of study committee D1 of Russian National Committee of CIGRE and Alexey Pilyugin, Engineering Supervisor.

In his report, Alexander Slavinsky pointed out the key directions of activities in CIGRE called to raise efficiency of power equipment, activities of study committee D1 RNC CIGRE and told about Izolyator’s export promotion of highly advanced power equipment.

Alexey Pilyugin gave a summary of the service department of Izolyator, presenting a report “Innovative online coordination between manufacturer and consumer”.

These topics also aroused much interest with the seminar participants: “Complex tests and diagnostics of power transformers”, “Transformer oil”, “Reliability of a transformer”, “Emergency transformer. When a plant conditions repair is unavoidable?”.

The format of the event allowed for detailed coverage of every issue not only within the framework of reports, but also at the breaks over a cup of coffee.

The actual topics, quality line-up of speakers and positive feedback from participants speak for the fact that Fault-free Transformer, again, became one of the awaited and useful events for specialists n power industry, machine building and metallurgy.

According to participants, the agenda was interesting and up-to-date, while discussions — intense and professional. The event was a definite success and can boast a good use for development of professional competences.
