International Forum 'Power Grids' 2018
On 4–7 December 2018, Izolyator took part in the International Forum 'Power Grids 2018' in Moscow.
International Forum 'Power Grids' (PGIF) is a key event in power industry, called to demonstrate the newest equipment and technologies, share ideas and innovations with a view to implement them in the power complex of Russia and formulate a uniform technical policy. The key objective of the Forum is to join efforts of the leading industry professionals to create a digital electric power grid infrastructure. Rosseti took a decision to have another annual PGIF within the Electric Networks of Russia Exhibition so that a major task of transformation of the key sectors of economy, including power infrastructure, was achieved by implementing digital technologies and platform-based solutions.
The Forum went with support from Rosseti Group.

Russian and international industry leaders met at the venue to discuss prospects and global trends in development of the modern 'smart energy', stages, needed to implement an intellectual grid infrastructure and all relevant amendments in the legislative field.
More than 100 speakers from 20 countries of the world took part in the business program of the Forum. Over 15000 people visited the International Forum 'Power Grids' 2018. More than 400 Russian and foreign companies exhibited at the Forum’s exposition, demonstrating their newest designs and advanced technologies, with the best ones to be later implemented in the power complex.

Minister of Energy of Russian Federation Alexander Novak opened the International Forum 'Power Grids'. In his speech, he defined the event as one of the key industry-related venues that promotes dialogue of manufacturers, equipment designers and power grid companies. The Minister also noted that there are new objectives in the present day agenda: 'The power complex of Russia must be able to quickly adapt to modern technological trends, evolving with creation of intellectual digital systems, implementation of artificial intelligence technologies, accumulating and transmitting energy at long distances, managing large databases'.

The participants of the discussion agreed that the digital transformation of the power industry bring in new opportunities for the power complex and domestic power products manufacturers that can be seized and used.
