Over the past several years, a number of meetings were organized between FGC UES and PowerGrid as well as industrial companies – manufacturers of original HV equipment in India and Russia. Also, with support from FGC UES, an open workshop, dedicated to power industry topics, was organized in India.
One of the most important results of the meetings and conferences is consideration of experience of the leading Russian power equipment OEMs for the purposes of India’s power complex modernization. This was possible thanks to the longstanding successful relations with the Federal Grid Company of Russia, which has the biggest in the world outstretch of power lines and, consequently, the largest park of high-voltage equipment, operating in different climate conditions.
Coordination with CIGRE opens for power grid companies of Russia and India new opportunities of cooperation in power industry and production of electrical equipment, promoting development of scientific exchange between specialists of the two countries.
