Tests at Haefely Test AG

On 6 April 2018, Izolyator plant representatives inspected the final testing of a 1200 kV surge voltage generator at Haefely Test AG in Basel, Switzerland.

Haefely Test AG (Switzerland) designs and manufactures systems of surge voltage and current testing, systems of high-voltage alternating current testing, equipment for power cables, motors, generators, distribution and power transformers testing. Haefely Test AG and Hipotronics Inc. (USA) are operating under the common brand Haefely Hipotronics, both being subsidiaries of Hubbell Incorporated.

The generator is intended for installation on a 150 kV station, which is a part of high-voltage equipment test center at Izolyator plant, to enhance capabilities in tests optimization and meet customers’ requirements in IEC 60137-2017 conformity.

Vladimir Ustinov, Deputy Quality Director and Dmitry Ivanov, Head of Test Center represented Izolyator at the tests.

The tests went successfully. The new surge voltage generator will be installed and put in operation at Izolyator plant in May–June 2018.
