Visit to Backbone Power Grids of Ural

On 12 July 2018, Director of Strategic Sales at Izolyator Alexander Savinov visited the head office of the Backbone Power Grids of Ural in Yekaterinburg.

Backbone Power Grids of Ural (MES Ural) are a branch of FGC UES JSC operating in Ural and Volga federal districts. The service area of the branch counts 7 federal subjects with a population of about 17 million people. MES Ural ensures fault free operation of over 16 thousand km of power lines and 106 substations with total installed transformer capacity of 41.9 GVA. The branch provides electric connection between the unified power grid of Ural and power grids of the central regions of Russia, West Siberia, Mid Volga and Kazakhstan.

The talks were dedicated to clarification of MES Ural’s demands in high-voltage bushings till the end of 2018 and agreement of technical aspects of future deliveries.

Also, the partners discussed prospects and long-term plans of joint activities, involving a widest implementation of new insulating equipment on power facilities.

The sides, once again, confirmed intention to develop the longstanding successful cooperation.
