Workshop for Georgian State Electrosystem

On 22 August 2018, Izolyator gave a workshop for technical specialists of Georgian State Electrosystem.

Logo Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE) is an electricity transmission system operator. Company provides power transmission and dispatch services all over the country. Transmission is provided from hydro, thermal and wind power plants to power distribution companies and direct customers. GSE also manages the cross-border transmission lines interconnecting with the neighboring countries: Russia, Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Company owns and operates 3,350 km transmission lines and 90 substations all over the country. GSE is a joint stock company owned by Partnership Fund, a state owned investment fund, while its management rights are transferred to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia. The company is headquartered in Tbilisi.

Izolyator was represented by R&D Director Konstantin Sipilkin and Head of SVN-Service Dmitry Mashinistov.

At the workshop, the speakers covered the following topics:

Advantages and design specifics of high-voltage bushings with solid internal RIP and RIN insulation, track record of operation and diagnostics of Izolyator bushings in a widest range of geographic and climate condition, new designs by Izolyator for ensuring given technical and operational characteristics of high-voltage insulating equipment.

The workshop went as an active and open dialogue and experience sharing. During the discussion, the specialists of Georgian State Electrosystem received detailed and exhaustive answers to all posed questions.

There was a visit to 220 kV S/S Lisi of the Georgian State Electrosystem, where the guests were accompanied by:

  • S/S Lisi Chief Davit Chkheidze,
  • Head of Transformer Repair Service of GSE Nodar Gavasheli,
  • Aetos Ltd’s Director Tamaz Sharikadze.

All workshop participants shared a high opinion of the event and its informative character, marking a great mutual use of a direct and professional dialogue.

Georgian State Electrosystem and Izolyator will carry on developing cooperation, using the whole spectre of available forms of interaction.
