Participation in the tests of the State primary standard of the unit of electric voltage of direct current

On 27 October 2021 Izolyator Group of Companies took part in state tests of the improved State Primary Special Standard for a DC voltage unit.

The tests took place at the Main Research Center of the State Metrological Service of the Russia — the All-Russian Research Institute of Metrological Service.

The All-Russian Research Institute of Metrological Service (VNIIMS) is the center of state standards for fixed types and areas of measurements, conducts fundamental and applied research, performs the functions of the State Testing Center of Measuring Instruments and other numerous functions assigned to it. The Institute is the Main Research Center of the State Metrological Service of the Russia. VNIIMS is a subordinate organization of the Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology.

The State primary special standard of a unit of direct current electric voltage — volts in the range of ± (1 ... 500) kV is intended for storage, reproduction and transmission. The standard is used in the electrical and cable industry, instrument making, power engineering, and railway transport.

The improvement of the standard was carried out in order to increase the accuracy of determining its metrological characteristics in the range of ± (1 ... 100) kV.

The Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology formed a commission for state tests, which, along with experts from leading Russian research centers and enterprises, included Director of the Moscow Branch of Izolyator Plant Vladimir Ustinov and Testing and Metrological Assurance Director of Izolyator Production Complex Dmitry Ivanov.

The work of the commission for conducting state tests at the All-Russian Research Institute of Metrological Service

Based on the test results, the commission signed an act recommending the adoption of improved standard as a state standard, which will be submitted to the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology for approval and entry into the state register.
