Study tours for students of the National Research University ‘Moscow Power Engineering Institute’

On 19 and 26 May 2022, a study tours of the enterprises of the Izolyator Group was held for 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students of the Department of High Voltage Engineering and Electrophysics of the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering of the National Research University ‘Moscow Power Engineering Institute’.

Department of High Voltage Engineering and Electrophysics of the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering of the National Research University ‘Moscow Power Engineering Institute’ (Dept. of HVEE of IEPE) trains highly qualified specialists for power industry and other sectors of economy as well as areas of science and engineering that use high voltage and strong electric and magnetic fields. National Research University ‘Moscow Power Engineering Institute’ is the one from the largest technical universities of Russia. It provides the specialist’s training and scientific research in the field of energetic, electrical engineering, radio electronics, computer engineering.

The tours became the next activities that is systematically and on an ongoing basis held within the framework of the social partnership agreement concluded by the National Research University ‘Moscow Power Engineering Institute’ and the Izolyator Group.

Both tours were held according to the same plan.

Further, Lead Technical Support Specialist Viktor Kiryukhin gave the audience an overview on the types, purpose and areas of application of the products of the Izolyator group of companies.

The CIGRE National Study Committee D1 ‘Materials and Emerging Test Techniques’ was created and operates on the basis of Izolyator Production Complex the part of Izolyator Group.

The first point in the tour plan was the Izolyator Production Complex, which produces high-voltage bushings in a wide range of their applications and voltages.

Accompanied by Viktor Kiryukhin, who was giving necessary explanations, the students went through all the technological stages, thus forming a holistic view of the manufacture of modern high-voltage bushings: the materials and types of insulation used, automated technological processes, technical level of production equipment.
