Business Trip to India

On 20–23 March 2018, Izolyator representative visited Indian electrical engineering and power grid companies.

Izolyator was represented by Dmitry Orekhov, International Business Development Manager and Victor Kiryukhin, Lead Technical Support Engineer.

Our representatives had talks in these companies: Transformers and Electricals Kerala Limited, Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd., Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited.

Transformers and Electricals Kerala Limited

On 20 March 2018, Izolyator representatives visited Transformers and Electricals Kerala Limited transformer plant in Cochin, Kerala.

Transformers and Electricals Kerala Limited (TELK) has been instrumental in producing and setting up High Voltage equipment in the region. Started of as a technical and financial collaboration  between Govt. of Kerala and Hitachi of Japan, now it is a JV between Govt. of Kerala and NTPC Limited, TELK manufactures Extra High Voltage Power Transformers (upto 315 MVA, 420 kV) and other equipments (CT, PT, Bushings) up to 420 kV class.

The guests were received by General Director Prasad.

The sides discussed progress in joint activities and measure to have a more efficient coordination between the companies.

The partners paid a lot of attention to planning further cooperation and prospecting new projects.

The sides expressed a firm intention to develop mutually beneficial relations.

Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd.

On 21 March 2018, Izolyator representatives visited the regional power grid company Kerala State Electricity Board Ltd. in Tiruvaṉantapuraṁ, Kerala.

The Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEB) is the successor entity of Kerala State Electricity Board which was constituted by the Government of Kerala for carrying out the business of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of electricity in the state of Kerala. The KSEB operated power lines outstretch is 8000 km. The company has a power generating branch.

Ms. P. Vijayakumari, Director (Transmission & System Operation) received the visitors who made a presentation of Izolyator and its products and mainly high-voltage bushings with RIP insulation in comparison with oil-in-paper insulated analogues.

During that presentation, KSEB specialists got an introduction to the specifics of diagnostics, installation and operation of RIP bushings.

At the talks that followed, the sides discussed KSEB’s demands in HV bushings.

KSEB representatives showed a strong interest to Izolyator products and confirmed their intention to continue cooperation.

Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd.

On 22 March 2018, Izolyator representatives visited the transformer plant Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. In Hydebarad, Telangana.

Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. (TTDI) produces transformers. The company was incorporated in 2013 and is based in Medak, India. Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd. operates as a subsidiary of Toshiba Corporation. Toshiba Transmission & Distribution Systems group is a world leader in the supply of integrated solutions for energy Transmission & Distribution.

The guests were received by:

Izolyator representatives found out TTDI’s demands in high-voltage bushings in 2018.

The sides expressed satisfaction with the existing business and discussed prospects of further cooperation.

Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited

On 23 March of 2018, Izolyator representatives visited Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited in Hydebarad.

The Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited (TSTRANSCO) was founded in the result of India’s power industry reform. Initially the power company of Andhra Pradesh State APSEB, which came into existence in 1959, was responsible for generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. In 1998 under Electricity Sector Reforms agenda, the State Government promulgated APSEB division into a generating company (APGENCO), a transmission company (APTRANSCO) and four distribution companies (APDISCOMs). In 2014 APTRANSCO was divided into regional network companies: TSTRANSCO and APTRANSCO.

J. Surya Prakash, Director (Projects & LI) and T. Jagath Reddy, Director (Transmission) received the guests.

At the talks, the sides evaluated the annual quantity of high-voltage bushings with exceeded safe operation term and opportunities of their replacement with Izolyator RIP products.

Representatives of both companies expressed intention to develop cooperation based on existing practical results of common activities.
