The International (All-Russian) Student Olympics "Electrical Engineering" in Theoretical and General Electrical Engineering named after M. O. Dolivo-Dobrovolsky has been held annually at the Ivanovo State Power University (ISPU) since 2011. Organizers of the Olympics: ISPU and System Operator of the Unified Energy System JSC. The aim of the Olympics is to improve the educational level of graduates enrolled in the electrical and electricity sectors, to generate students' interest in their chosen profession, to identify gifted young people and to form human resources for research, design and production and administrative activities. Team members are graduate students who study the theoretical foundations of electrical engineering (general electrical engineering) in the current academic year. The Olympics is held both individually and as a team competition. Mikhail Osipovich Dolivo-Dobrovolsky (1861–1919) — an outstanding Russian inventor, a well-known electrical engineer, one of the creators of three-phase alternating current technology.

    Partners of the Olympics:

  • DC circuit;
  • AC circuits, including non-sinusoidal current;
  • three-phase circuit;
  • transients in linear electrical circuits of the first and second order.
