Solid RIN insulation

Solid RIN-insulation was designed at the Izolyator Plant Design Office to improve the moisture resistance of the internal insulation of bushings under complicated operational conditions.

The basic insulation is polymer nonwoven fabric with good hydrophobic properties and atmospheric moisture resistance.

The material initially contains no water, which allows elimination of thermal vacuum drying of wound intermediate product. This improves the insulation reliability and shortens the production cycle.

The other parameters of the RIN insulation manufacturing process are identical to the RIP-technology.

RIN insulation can be used both with porcelain, and polymer external insulation.

Electric characteristics of the bushings with RIN insulation completely comply with the
IEC 60137 standard requirements.
