Commissioning of the Second Transformer with Izolyator Bushings at 400 kV Bamnauli Substation in India

On 16 August 2015, the second transformer with Izolyator bushings was commissioned at Delhi Transco’s Limited 400 kV Bamnauli substation in Delhi, India (the first transformer was commissioned on 16 Jul 2015).

The 500 MVA transformer was made by Crompton Greaves Limited.

Delhi Transco Limited is a part of the state power grid company of India PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PowerGrid) is an India-based company, engaged in construction, operation and maintenance of inter-state transmission system (ISTS). The Company’s consultancy services provides engineering, procurement and construction within and outside India, in the field of electrical power transmission and distribution to governments and other utilities, including in the field of energy efficiency, smart grid and training. The Company owns and operates transmission network of about 106,804 Ckm of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission lines, 184 EHVAC & High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Sub-stations and 205,923 MVA transformation capacity.
