Bushings tests inspection – visit of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited

On 6 – 8 May 2015, the state power grid company of India Power Grid Corporation of India Limited made an inspection of test of the HV bushings at Izolyator.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PowerGrid) is an India-based company, engaged in construction, operation and maintenance of inter-state transmission system (ISTS). The company’s principal business is transmission of bulk power across different States of India. The Company’s business also includes telecom and consultancy services. The Company’s telecom business engaged in the PowerGrid’s transmission infrastructure across the country. The Company’s consultancy services provides engineering, procurement and construction within and outside India, in the field of electrical power transmission and distribution to governments and other utilities, including in the field of energy efficiency, smart grid and training. The Company owns and operates transmission network of about 106,804 Ckm of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission lines, 184 EHVAC & High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Sub-stations and 205,923 MVA transformation capacity

PowerGrid decided to send its specialist to Izolyator plant for an effective control over acceptance testing and shipment of a trial lot of HV bushings manufactured for a Crompton Greaves transformer plant.

Pradeep Dixit, Quality Inspector at PowerGrid was present at all tests according to MQP schedule joining Izolyator’s team for three days and taking an active part in test procedures.

On Izolyator side the tests were organized by:

Ivan Panfilov, Commercial Director, First Dpty General Director;

Alexander Nokiov, Chief of Test Center;

Dmitry Ivanov, Head of Test Center (tests responsible executive);

Andrey Shornikov, Area Sales Manager;

Natalya Mazova, Area Sales Manager;

Dr. Ashok Singh, Official Representative of Izolyator in India.

The test and inspection were successful and on 10 May 2015 the first lot of RIP-insulated bushings by Izolyator left the territory of Russia in the direction of India.
