PowerGrid Inspection

On 27 June–1 July 2016, the Indian state power network operator Power Grid Corporation of India Limited inspected tests of Izolyator high-voltage bushings.

 

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PowerGrid) is an India-based company, engaged in construction, operation and maintenance of inter-state transmission system (ISTS). The company’s core business is transmission of bulk power across different States of India. The Company’s business also includes telecom and consultancy services. The Company’s telecom business engaged in the PowerGrid’s transmission infrastructure across the country. The Company’s consultancy services provides engineering, procurement and construction within and outside India, in the field of electrical power transmission and distribution to governments and other utilities, including in the field of energy efficiency, smart grid and training. The Company owns and operates transmission network of about 106,804 Ckm of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission lines, 184 EHVAC & High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Sub-stations and 205,923 MVA transformation capacity.

Izolyator carried out type and acceptance tests of transformer RIP bushings for 72 kV (IVUE.686351.611) and 252 kV (IVUE.686353.612). The bushings are made for operation in power facilities of Kashmir, located at 3500 m above sea level.

Dmitry Ivanov, Head of the Test Center managed the tests.

The bushings passed the tests proving the high quality of Izolyator products.
