TV Broadcast About the 15th Anniversary of FGC UES

On 30 May 2017, RBC broadcasted a Made in Russia program dedicated to the 15th Anniversary of the Federal Grid Company of the Unified energy system of Russia (FGC UES PJSC). Izolyator was one of the few partners of FGC UES to take part in the a shooting of the program.

RBC channel is Russia’s only business TV channel focusing on the coverage of economic and financial events in Russia and worldwide, featuring relevant commentary, important interviews and insightful analysis from both Russian and foreign experts, live stand-up reports, topical programs and reviews of particular industries, as well as materials from international news agencies. The signal is now available throughout all of Russia, and the channel’s penetration in Russia as a whole is over 90 million people. Furthermore, RBC is broadcast in the CIS and the Baltic States, Western Europe, North Africa, Middle East and Central Asia. RBC Channel is a part of the largest Russian media conglomerate RBC.

Federal Grid Company is the operator and manager of Russia’s unified electricity transmission grid system, including high voltage transmission lines, and holds the status of a natural monopoly. The Company’s assets include more than 139,000 km of transmission lines and 924 substations with more than 332 GVA of 35–750 kV transformer capacity. Based on the length of transmission lines and installed transformer capacity, Federal Grid is the largest publicly traded electricity transmission company in the world. Federal Grid’s business is to provide electricity transmission and technological connection services. It maintains and develops the grid system and supervises grid facilities and infrastructure in 77 Russian regions, covering a territory of 15.1 million square kilometres. Its customers are regional distribution companies, electricity suppliers and large industrial enterprises. The Company is a natural monopoly with 80.13% stake controlled by Russian Grids.

The Made in Russia crew visited Izolyator in April this year. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the company Alexander Slavinsky told the host of the show Vyacheslav Volkov about a long term and close cooperation of Izolyator and FGC UES in respect to supply and maintenance of modern domestic electrical equipment.

The RBC crew also learned about the advanced technologies of high-voltage bushings production and the key achievements and history of the company.
