XXV TRAVEK Association Conference

On 7–8 June 2017, Izolyator took part in the XXV International Scientific and Technical and Practical TRAVEK Association Conference “Power and Distributive Transformers. Reactors. Systems of Diagnostics”.

International Association on transformers, high voltage equipment, electrical ceramics and other spare parts and materials — TRAVEK — established on 11 April 1991 in order to implement the business cooperation, contributing to marketing, manufacturing and technology development, to ensure product competitiveness in world markets. The past years, characterized by a sharp contraction of domestic markets for products, put in the forefront of promoting the maintenance of competitiveness of products and, above all, ensuring information exchange in the field of scientific and technological achievements. Association coped with this challenge, holding international symposia electrical elite countries-participants, organizing seminars and company presentations. Chairman of the Board of Directors at Izolyator, Dr. Alexander Slavinsky is Vice President of the International TRAVEK Association.

The conference received support from the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academy of Electrical Engineering Sciences of Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation, Rossiiskie Seti PJSC, FGC UES PJSC.

The topics of the conference are:

• power industry and power grid development prospects. Power sector’s demands in transformer-reactor equipment till 2030;
• research and development of new types of transformer and reactor equipment;
• diagnostics and monitoring systems of transformer equipment;
• completing parts for transformer and reactor equipment and their production;
• testing of transformer and reactor equipment;
• experience of transformer and reactor equipment operation.

Executives and technical specialists of companies–consumers of high-voltage equipment, representatives of power equipment OEMs from Russia and foreign countries, leading scientists, developers, academic and design organizations representatives took part in the conference.

Izolyator was represented by Dr. Alexander Slavinsky, Vice President of TRAVEK Association, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Izolyator and Alexey Pilyugin, Lead Supervising Engineer, who made a report “HV equipment monitoring by means of «online interaction» between manufacturer and consumer”.

The participants in the conference agreed on a summary that reflects key achievements, mentioned in the reports of the speakers, trends of equipment and power systems development, proposals of high-voltage equipment manufacturers to consumers.

This summary will be documented and submitted to the state bodies, Rosseti PJSC, FGC UES PJSC and other organizations of Russian Federation as well as conference participants and TRAVEK Association members.
