Friendly ties since the Soviet Union times, a positive dialogue between the Federal Grid Company of the Unified Energy System of Russia and the state company of India Power Grid Corporation of India Limited Ltd as well as Izolyator's operations on the Indian power market, allowed us to continue exchanges between the power grid companies and industrial enterprises of the two countries.
Another important factor of cooperation development is Russia's active role in the International Council on Large Electric Systems CIGRE. India is an active contributor to the Council: PowerGrid’s management heads the Indian National Committee of CIGRE. Izolyator, in its turn, is a leading science and technology partner to the Russian national committee of CIGRE and a base enterprise of SC D1 RNC CIGRE “Materials and emerging test techniques”.
Interaction within CIGRE opens new opportunities for cooperation in power industry and manufacture of electrical equipment as well as exchanges of experience between specialists of the two countries.
Actively contacting regional power grid and generating companies, strengthening mutually beneficial and long-term relations with key consumers of high-voltage bushings in the Indian market, Izolyator was able to increase its order portfolio.
As result of that extensive work in the region, we signed supply contracts for large batches of high-voltage RIP bushings with rated voltages 52, 252, 420 and 800 kV to different regions of India - more than 520 pcs totally!
Izolyator carries on developing a productive dialogue with Indian partners, send shipments and share experience in operation and maintenance of high-voltage bushings.
Over the past several years, several business meetings between FGC UES and PowerGrid as well as industrial companies, HV equipment OEMs of India and Russia took place. Also, with support from the Federal Grid Company an open workshop on power industry between Russia and India was organized in India.
One of the most important results of those meetings and conferences was consideration of the experience of the leading Russian electrical products manufacturers for the purposes of modernization of the power complex of India, which in its turn is based on the longstanding successful relations with the Federal Grid company of Russia, which has the longest power lines outstretch in the world and, consequently, the biggest park of HV equipment, operating in different climate conditions.
As our company keeps expanding our presence on the Asian market, at the 47th CIGRE Session in Paris, Izolyator signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Indian Mehru Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (P) Ltd. about setting up a joint venture to manufacture high-voltage RIP bushings on the territory of India. By creating a manufacturing site using Izolyator technologies, India will be able to meet the growing market demands in these high-tech products and significantly decrease delivery lead time to the Indian power facilities.
