Practical Exercise on Fire Fighting

On 17 April 2018, another practical exercise in fire fighting “Staff action on fire alarm” was held at Izolyator plant.

The exercise aims at:

• practicing actions of the mechanical shop personnel upon detection of fire,
• practicing response of the security service employees and duty staff to passing on the information about fire outbreak,
• evacuation drill of the staff and using fire extinguishers.

The Planet 101 firefighting crew took part in the exercise.

According the scheduled plan, two stages of the exercise were completed.

At the first stage, the staff members of the mechanical shop practiced actions to assess the burning area and possibilities of its localization,

inform the security service and people around about the fire, extinguish the fire using the basic firefighting equipment.

At the second stage, which involved the entire staff of the company, the co-workers had an evacuation drill from premises on hearing the alarm of the automated fire alarm system and improved their skills of using the basic firefighting equipment.

During the exercise, the company staff acted as one and without delays, demonstrating a high degree of readiness to fire dangers.

As a result of the lesson, the high organization and responsibility of the  Izolyator plant personnel were noted.

Thus, all the set targets of the exercise in fire fighting were achieved.
