International Forum ‘Power Grids 2019'

From December 3 to 6, 2019, Izolyator took part in the ‘Power Grids 2019’ International Forum in Moscow.


International Forum ‘Power Grids’ (PGIF) is a key event in power industry, called to demonstrate the newest equipment and technologies, share ideas and innovations with a view to implement them in the power complex of Russia and formulate a uniform technical policy.

The key objective of the Forum is to join efforts of the leading industry professionals to create a digital electric power grid infrastructure.

Rosseti Group, being host of the Forum, took a decision to have another annual PGIF within the Power Grids of Russia Exhibition so that a major task of transformation of the key sectors of economy, including power infrastructure, was achieved by implementing digital technologies and platform-based solutions.

Russian and international industry leaders met at one venue to discuss the prospects and global trends in the development of modern smart energy, the main stages of building an intelligent network infrastructure and the necessary regulatory changes.

This year, more than 400 companies from 30 countries of the world, including China, India, Germany and Italy, presented their expositions.

The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Alexander Novak, inaugurated the International Forum ‘Power Grids 2019’. In his speech, he emphasized that the introduction of advanced technologies in the energy sector is a global trend. Rosseti Group took up the development and implementation of digital transformation projects as one of the first electricity companies in the Russian fuel and energy complex, and there are already intermediate results from pilot projects that demonstrate the correctness of the chosen strategy for developing the electricity grid infrastructure in Russia.

Within the framework of the forum, Chief Executive Officer of Zavod Izolyator LLC, Head of CIGRE National Study Committee D1, Dr. Alexander Slavinsky and the heads of Izolyator’s commercial service held a number of business meetings with representatives of leading world energy companies and electrical enterprises.

Alexander Slavinsky took part in the work of the Technical Session ‘Innovative Equipment for Electric Power Network’. The session was moderated by Yuri Dementyev, Advisor to the Director General of the Research and Development Center at Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System.

In his report ‘RIN Insulation: Research, Testing, Prospects’ Alexander Slavinsky outlined the main areas of research work at Izolyator plant to create high-voltage bushings with internal RIN isolation.

The International Electric Networks Forum has become the key event of this year's electricity industry.
