Joint meeting of the Business Council for Cooperation with Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Serbia
On 4 December 2020, Izolyator took part in a remote joint meeting of the Business Council for Cooperation with Serbia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Serbia.
The Business Council for Cooperation with Serbia under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation is one of the mechanisms for deepening trade and economic relations between Russia and Serbia.
The Business Council's activities are aimed at assisting Russian enterprises and organizations in finding business partners on the territory of Serbia, promoting and protecting their commercial interests during their trading activities, economic and investment dialogue facilitation, institutional support of trade and investment projects, organizing congress and exhibition and other business events.
The Business Council members are mostly coming from energy and transport sectors, industrial and agricultural enterprises, as well as research institutes.

The event was attended by Chairman of the Serbian side of the Russian-Serbian Intergovernmental Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, Minister for Innovation and Technological Development of Serbia Nenad Popovic; Head of the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Serbia Andrey Khripunov; Director of the Business Council for Cooperation with Serbia, Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the Rosseti Group Andrey Logatkin, as well as representatives of more than 60 industrial enterprises of Russia and Serbia.

Izolyator was represented at the meeting by Alexander Znamensky, International Business Development Manager.
In his opening remarks, Pavel Livinsky noted that the pandemic had an impact on the interaction of the two countries, but it was not dramatic. For the 9 months, the trade turnover amounted to almost $ 1.5 billion.
The implementation of large-scale projects in Serbia with the participation of Russian companies in various sectors, including the fuel and energy complex, transport, mechanical engineering, the chemical industry, information technology, continues.
One of the promising areas is the power industry. The Rosseti Group is considering options for synergy in such areas as digital transformation, the development of green energy and storage systems, electromobility, building smart grids, and managing the networks of large cities.
‘The Business Council is ready to help companies from both sides in the implementation of joint and mutually beneficial initiatives. I am convinced that cooperation will continue to develop. Russian business circles can and are ready to share their experience and promising developments’, noted Pavel Livinsky.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the entire range of promising areas for the development of Russian-Serbian economic, trade and industrial cooperation.
