Advanced training of MPS East and MPS Urals specialists

On 19 and 20 May 2021, at the Izolyator Production Complex, a full-time training program was provided to technical specialists of Main Power Systems, branches of Rosseti FGC UES — MPS East and MPS Ural.

Россети ФСК ЕЭС Main power system of the East (MPS East) operates in the Far-Eastern Federal District. There are five federal subjects with a population exceeding 5 million people in its service area.
The system provides electric connection between the unified power grid of the East and the power grid of Siberia, and export of power to China.
Main power system of the Urals (MPS Urals) operating in West Siberia, Ural and Volga federal districts.
MPS Urals provides electric connection between the Unified Power System of Ural and power grids of the central regions of Russia, Mid Volga and Kazakhstan.
MPS East and MPS Urals are branches of Rosseti FGC UES.

The training took place under the advanced training program ‘Installation of high-voltage bushings on power equipment’, developed by Izolyator Corporate University with the participation of leading specialists from the R&D center, production and technical service and the testing and metrology service of Izolyator Production Complex.

The training was conducted by the Head of the SVN-Service department Alexey Pilyugin.

Before the start of the training course, MPS specialists underwent an introductory briefing on labor protection and fire safety.

The two-day program consisted of a theoretical part on the first day of training and a practical part on the second day.

The theoretical units were devoted to acquainting the audience with the production complex and the production technology of high-voltage bushings with internal RIP insulation, as well as the details of their operation. The material included lectures ‘Technology of high-voltage bushings production’ and ‘Technology of production of RIP and RIN insulation’.

During the practical part of the program, which took place in production, the following steps were studied: acceptance of the bushings, removing a bushing from the package and transferring it to a vertical position, testing the bushing before installation, preparing equipment for the installation of the bushing and a number of other operations. Technological operations were demonstrated using replicas of bushings and imitation of their installation on equipment.
