Workshops and Meetings at Tavanir and Iran Transfo Corp. Subsidiaries

On 29 September — 2 October 2018, Izolyator plant held workshops and business meetings at the energy company Tavanir of the Ministry of Energy of Iran and subsidiaries of Iran Transfo Corp. transformer plant.

Alexander Znamenskiy, Manager of International Business Development Department and Victor Kiryukhin, Lead Technical Support Specialist represented Izolyator.

Representatives of the Iranian Fanavaran Pooya Sanat Vafa, supplier of industrial equipment, also participated in all meetings of the agenda.

Business Meeting and Workshop in Tavanir

On 2 October 2018, Izolyator plant had a business meeting and workshop “Modern technologies in production of high-voltage bushings” in energy company Tavanir.

The main objectives of establishing Iran’s Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution Management Company (Tavanir) are to faster the supervisory activities of the government in the field of operation and development of the Electric Power Industry of the country within the scope of policies issued by the Ministry of Energy, Leading the subsidiary companies of the Electric Power Industries toward increasing their efficiency and productivity and favorable utilization of the Electric Power Industry’s facilities and should it necessitates get involve in certain execution activities as well as carrying out the responsibilities of supervision and preparation of programs in behalf of the Ministry of Energy of Iran. The company is headquartered in Tehran.

Before opening the seminar, Tavanir’s General Manager had a brief meeting with the representatives of the organizer companies Izolyator and Fanavaran Pooya Sanat Vafa. At the meeting, he spoke about the long-term relations and visible results of cooperation between the power engineers of Russia and Iran and wished further strengthening and development of business ties between the two countries.

The workshop became the result of earlier discussions and arrangements to familiarize management representatives, engineers and process engineers of Tavanir with advanced technologies in design and manufacture of high-voltage insulating equipment.

Representatives of both Tavanir head office in Teheran and management and specialists of regional divisions took part in the workshop, making a total of 45 attendees.

The structure of the workshop:

• The first part: introductions of seminar participants, summary of indicators of the Unified energy system of Russia, range of geographic and climate conditions of high-voltage bushings park operation, technical upgrade program at the Federal Grid Company of the Unified Energy system of Russia, Izolyator plant and its products;
• The second part: high-voltage bushing design, modern trends in designing and production, life cycle, comparative analysis of bushings with solid internal RIP insulation as compared to their counterparts with different designs, transporting and storage, installation on power equipment, specifics of operation and diagnostics;
• The third part: discussion and questions from the audience.

Presently, 95 % of all high-voltage bushings, operating on power facilities in Iran, are oil-in-paper (OIP) bushings. They have no resource left in operating life, required regular control and raise concerns with the service divisions of the power grid operators.

Izolyator representatives gave exhaustive replies to all the questions, connected with replacement of OIP bushings with their modern RIP-insulated analogues.

• Sales department,
• Engineering company Ghoods Niroo.

The sides discussed planned activities on technical maintenance of transformers in connection with expiry of their service life at power facilities of Iran.

Following the topics of the talks, we introduced the advantages of HV bushings with solid internal RIP insulation and their diagnostics in operation to the Iranian partners. We also studied possibilities of replacement of operating bushings by their modern analogues, made by Izolyator.
