Izolyator Bushings Installation on the Second Bamnauli 400 kV Transformer in India
On 29 July 2015, Izolyator bushings have been installed on the second transformer at Delhi Transco’s Limited Bamnauli 400 kV substation in India (the installation supervision on the first transformer took place on 9–10 June, and its commissioning — on 16 July 2015).
The 500 MVA transformer was made by Crompton Greaves Limited.
Delhi Transco Limited is a part of the state power grid company of India PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PowerGrid) is an India-based company, engaged in construction, operation and maintenance of inter-state transmission system (ISTS). The company’s principal business is transmission of bulk power across different States of India. The Company’s business also includes telecom and consultancy services. The Company’s consultancy services provides engineering, procurement and construction within and outside India, in the field of electrical power transmission and distribution to governments and other utilities, including in the field of energy efficiency, smart grid and training. The Company owns and operates transmission network of about 106,804 Ckm of Extra High Voltage (EHV) transmission lines, 184 EHVAC & High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Sub-stations and 205,923 MVA transformation capacity.
Dr. Ashok Singh, Izolyator’s Official Representative in India was present at the installation of nine RIP-insulated bushings: 3 pcs of 52 kV units, 3 pcs of 252 kV units and 3 pcs of 420 kV units.
