Visit to Surgut GRES-1
On 21 May 2015, Alexander Savinov, Director of Strategic Sales at Izolyator visited Surgut GRES-1 of OGK-2 Plc in the city of Surgut, Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous District – Yugra.
Surgut GRES-1 is a branch of Public Limited Company The Second Generation Company of the Wholesale Electric Power Market (OGK-2 Plc). The installed electrical capacity is 3 268 MW, the installed heat capacity is 903 MMkcal/hr, headcount – 1 035 employees, fuel type – gas. Surgut GRES-1 is one of the key power supply sources in the regions of West Siberia and Urals and heat supplier to the city of Surgut. Surgut is a power major in Russia: there are two largest power stations that generate electricity – Surgut GRES-1 and Surgut GRES-2. The power network of Tyumen Region, which includes Surgut GRES-1 is one of the biggest in Russia. It provides a centralized power supply on the territory of more than 1 million square km. The principal consumers for those generation facilities are oil and gas extracting companies operating on the territory of Tyumen Region.
Izolyator delivered a corporate presentation with the product range. The parties discussed possible scopes of supply of Izolyator’s HV bushings.
