Visit to Surgut GRES-2 Power Plant
On 19 May 2015, Alexander Savinov, Strategic Sales Director at Izolyator visited Surgut GRES-2 of E.ON Russia in the city of Surgut, Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous District – Yugra.
Surgut GRES-2 is a branch of E.ON Russia located in the city of Surgut of Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous District – Yugra. The power plant supplies power to the West Siberia and Urals being the largest Russian power station in terms of generation and second largest by capacity thermal station in the world. The station’s installed capacity is 5597.1 MW including 797.1 MW of two new combine cycle power units put in operation in the 3d quarter of 2011. In 2012, the station generated an all-time record of 39.967 billion kW/h of power. From the moment of the first power generating unit launch, Surgut GRES-2 has produced 820 billion kWh.
