Summary of the business trip to Tajikistan
On 27-28 May 2015, Victor Kiryukhin, Head of Design Bureau in the Advanced Design Office at Izolyator and Maxim Osipov, Head of CIS Sales at Izolyator made a business trip to Tajikistan.
On 28 May 2015, Izolyator plant representatives visited Barki Tochik JSC holding company in Dushanbe.
Barki Tochik JSC is a state-owned national electric power company of the Republic of Tajikistan based in the republic’s capital – Dushanbe. The company and its assets are a property of the Republic of Tajikistan. The company’s mission is to produce, transport, transmit, distribute and sell electricity and heat primarily on local market of Tajikistan. The company operates power stations and power grid including Dushanbe Thermal Power Station, Nurek, Baipazin and Kairakum Hydroelectric Power Stations, Cascade of Vakhsh river Hydroelectric Power Stations (Golovnaya, Perepadnaya, Central), Varzob cascade (GES-1, GES-2, GES-3) and Khazara Hydroelectric Power Station.

The talks covered such issues as volumes and terms of the future shipments of the HV bushings by Izolyator. The sides expressed their intention to proceed with active cooperation development.

On 27 May 2015, Izolyator made a seminar for the specialists of Nurek Hydroelectric Power Station and Barki Tochik company in Nurek, Tajikistan.
Nurek Power Station is a hydroelectric power station in the vicinity of Nurek in Tajikistan on the river Vakhsh. It is a part of Barki Tochik JSC holding. There are 9 hydroturbine units, 300 thousand kW each. The power station provides about 75% of entire power generation in the Republic. The height of the dam is 300 meters (which was the highest in the world till 2013). The dam forms the Nurek water reservoir which is 70 km long and 5 km wide at maximum levels with average depth nearing 107 m.

Izolyator presented its products at the seminar and new prototypes. The attendees discussed Izolyator bushings application issues, specifically, 500 kV bushings and RIP-insulated bushings design and advantages, compatibility of obsolete and new designs.
The seminar sparkled a keen interest among the specialists and intention to continue sharing experience.

The main result of the business trip and talks with the Tajik counterparts became a continued rapprochement between Russia and Tajikistan and strengthening of business ties as a solid basis for further cooperation.
