Volzhskaya Hydropower Plant Cooperation
On 16 July 2015, Oleg Bakulin, Director on Partner Relations at Izolyator visited Volzhskaya hydropower plant in Volzhsky town of Volgograd region.
Volzhskaya hydropower plant is a branch of Public limited company Federal hydrogenation company — RusHydro. Volzhskaya plant is the largest hydropower plant in Volzhsko-Kamsky cascade and Europe. The station’s capacity is 2639.5 MW. The power plant is an important unit in the unified power grid of Russia linked in with 220 and 500 kV high-voltage lines of alternating current and 800 kV lines of direct current. Volzhskaya plant’s input is the most valuable for peaks coverage within power demand structure in the European part of Russia. The hydroelectric installation is located in the lower Volga, to the north of Volgograd.

Alexey Zharinov, Maintenance Manager of the power plant;
Sergey Karpyuk, Lead Maintenance Engineer.
The parties formulated an action plan as the nearest cooperation prospective and discussed a long-term outlook on activities.
