The XXIV TRAVEK Conference

On 28-29 November 2016, Izolyator took part in the XXIV TRAVEK Conference: “Prospects of power industry and high-voltage equipment development. Commutation technique, converter equipment, microprocessor control and protection systems.”

International Association on transformers, high voltage equipment, electrical ceramics and other spare parts and materials — TRAVEK — established on 11 April 1991 in order to implement the business cooperation, contributing to marketing, manufacturing and technology development, to ensure product competitiveness in world markets. The past years, characterized by a sharp contraction of domestic markets for products, put in the forefront of promoting the maintenance of competitiveness of products and, above all, ensuring information exchange in the field of scientific and technological achievements. Association coped with this challenge, holding international symposia electrical elite countries-participants, organizing seminars and company presentations.

The conference was organized by the International Association TRAVEK with support from the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academy of Power Engineering Sciences of Russian Federation, Ministry of Energy of Russian Federation, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation, Rossiiskie Seti PJSC, FGC UES PJSC.

At the conference the public considered problems and prospects of the national grid development in Russia, research and prototypes of new types of energy efficient power equipment and other topics of present interest in Russia’s power industry prospective development.

Alexander Slavinsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Izolyator, Vice-President TRAVEK Association and Vladimir Ustinov, Deputy Quality Director at Izolyator generalized trends in development and application of insulating materials using the materials of the 46^th CIGRE Session.

Representatives of the leading Research and Project organizations, power equipment OEMs – TRAVEK corporate members - such as Electrozavod JSC, ABB Ltd, NPP Electromash, ZETO CJSC, VIT PJSC (Ukraine), ABB SP z.o.o. (Poland), FGUP VEI, NIC ZTZ Service (Ukraine), Hitachi Metals Europe GmbH made reports at the conference.

The conference attendees made a number of decisions that reflect the current status and prospects of development of HV power equipment that will be submitted to the state organizations, Rossiiskie Seti PJSC, FGC UES PJSC and other organizations of Russian Federation.
