On 21 March 2017, Izolyator took part in the work of the RNC CIGRE Summary Conference dedicated to the 46th CIGRE Session results.
Russian National Committee of International Council on Large Electric Systems (RNC CIGRE) as a legal entity was established in 2003. At present the Committee counts over 60 collective and over 460 individual members. RNC CIGRE aims to represent the national interests at CIGRE and to assist in exchanging technical knowledge, experience and feedback in various fields of CIGRE activity for all its members. The most important objective of the committee is attraction of the best Russian power industry companies to scientific and technical cooperation as research base organizations for RNC CIGRE Study Committees.
The conference was held at the R&D Center of FGC UES.
The goal of the conference is to define a uniform agenda for power industry segments development in line with existing trends in the world.
The conference was attended by Andrey Murov, Chairman of the Board of Directors at FGC UES and Chairman of RNC CIGRE, Sergey Shmatko, the President’s Special Representative on International Cooperation in Power industry, representatives of the System Operator of the Unified energy system, Russian Export Center, power equipment OEMs, industry professionals.
Izolyator, leading science and technology partner to RNC CIGRE, was represented by:
- Alexander Slavinsky, Chairman of the Board of Director, SC D1 RNC CIGRE Chair;
- Vladimir Ustinov, Deputy Quality Director, SC D1 RNC CIGRE coordinator;
- Sales managers.
The issues of power industry’s technological infrastructure development in a digital economy, the state support for power equipment production development and Russia’s products promotion in export markets, power industry human resources potential development were discussed.
The delegations entered discussion about the uniform science and technology agenda for power industry development in the near perspective and identification of the most development directions for Russia’s power industry.
During the conference, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Izolyator made a report ”Summary of exports promotion in foreign markets with support from domestic consumers of power products”, where he detailed Izolyator and FGC UES experience in setting up efficient business ties with Asian and European power grid companies and world leading power equipment OEMs.
When taking his turn in speaking — already as SC D1 Materials and emerging test techniques Chair — Alexander Slavinsky summarized SC D1 work results at the 46th CIGRE Session in Paris.
The organizers will formulate expert opinion and positions, using the conference’s results, which will define fields and direction of research for the study committees of RNC CIGRE and will be used during preparation of the Russian delegation for the 47th CIGRE Session that will take place on 26–31 August in Paris.
