The Vth Russian International Power Forum

On 25–28 April 2017, Izolyator took part in the Vth Russian International Power Forum in Saint-Petersburg.

Russian International Energy Forum (RIEF) combines the experience and traditions of the two major international industry events – the International Specialized Exhibition "Energetika & Elektrotechnika" (Power and Electrical Engineering) with more than 20-year history and the Russian International Energy Forum. The main objective of the project is to consolidate the interests of exhibitors presenting their products at the exhibition with the expertise of the Forum.

This year, the Forum brought together 150 companies from 21 federal districts of the Russian Federation and 10 countries of the world.

During the business part of the Forum, which worked during the specialized Power industry and electrical engineering equipment 2017, the organizers arranged more than 30 events, where 100+ experts of the industry discussed the prospects of advanced technologies’ implementation in the Russian power industry, improvement of investment policy, Russian power equipment promotion in the export markets, innovative development of the energy complex and ecologically friendly renewable power industry in Russia.

In the frame of the plenary sitting of Power Equipment Building. Recovering traditions, the Chief Designer of Izolyator Yury Nikitin made a report “Izolyator plant: more than 120 years of innovation and high-voltage bushings production for the power industry”, where he detailed research, testing and operation of high-voltage bushings with various types of insulation on power facilities.

The plenary session attendees also discussed issues of implementation of innovative technologies, materials, engineering of electrical products to improve its quality features, fitting-out plants with domestic equipment, achievement of energy saving KPIs for costs optimization, and also spoke about the strategy of power equipment building sector development for 2010–2020s and up to 2030 prospect.
