Izolyator Bushings on Power Facilities of ZapSibNefteKhim

On 16 April 2018, Izolyator high-voltage bushings began their service on the substations, which were put in operation for power supply of the petrochemical enterprise of ZapSibNeftekhim.

Once complete, ZapSibNeftekhim will be Russia’s largest modern petrochemical complex. ZapSibNeftekhim is part of the Tobolsk production site, which already includes three major production facilities — monomer and polymer production facilities, along with a power, heat and steam generation facility. The project aims to support deep conversion of by-products of oil and gas production from Western Siberia, including associated petroleum gas. ZapSibNeftekhim will use cutting-edge hydrocarbon processing technology and logistics to ensure reliable and safe operation, and high performance of the capex project. ZapSibNeftekhim complex is part of SIBUR Holding.

In Tyumen region, an official launch of the complex of facilities for power supply of the petrochemical enterprise of ZapSibNeftekhim, a SIBUR project, for deep processing of hydrocarbons was made. The key unit is the 500 kV Tobol substation of FGC UES PJSC, worth 5.3 bln rubles. It is the first in Russia high-voltage power facility to use integrated top notch digital technologies.

At the same time, the 500 kV central distribution substation ZapSib of SIBUR, which is used by the enterprise for connection to the unified national power grid, was launched. This facility was built by FGC UES’s subsidiary — Center for engineering and construction management of the Unified energy system.

Vladimir Yakushev, Governor of Tyumen regions, Andrey Murov, FGC UES Chairman and Dmitry Konov, SIBUR Chairman took part in the launch ceremony.

Advanced innovative technologies of mainly Russian origin are implemented in the 500 kV Tobol substation to help increase reliability and efficiency of its operation.

The 500 kV ZapSib substation of SIBUR will ensure receipt of electric output from Tobol and reduction of voltage class for using by the enterprise. These advanced technological solutions are the most modern not only to national, but also to international standards.

Izolyator high-voltage bushings are installed on the transformer equipment of the 500 kV Tobol and ZapSib substations. It was a successful result of a large and thorough work to agree on technical features of equipment and general coordination of the projects, which was done by Izolyator jointly with Togliatti Transformer and Power Machines — Toshiba. High-voltage transformers (PMTT) plants.

So, the four power autotransformers PMTT 500/110 kV with 250 MVA capacity, installed at the 500 kV ZapSib substation, are equipped with Izolyator 500 and 110 kV RIP bushings.
