Meeting of The Russian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission

On October 28 and 29, 2019, Izolyator took part in the meeting of the Russian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, which was held in Hanoi.

The Russian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific and Technical Cooperation: prepares proposals and takes measures to expand and improve trade, economic and scientific and technical cooperation, develops proposals for the organization of cooperation between ministries and departments of both countries, makes recommendations on the development and implementing programs to promote business cooperation between organizations and regions of the Russian Federation and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, as well as carries out a number of other functions for the development of trade and mutual investment, taking into account the interests of both countries.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Maxim Akimov and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Chin Dinh Zung. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Alexey Gruzdev.

Izolyator was represented by the Commercial Director Ivan Panfilov.

Alexey Gruzdev during his speech announced the importance of industrial cooperation for the development of trade and investment relations between countries. The potential for expanding cooperation in such areas as the automotive industry, civil aviation, shipbuilding, railway transport, power engineering, non-ferrous metallurgy, chemical industry, and pharmaceuticals was also noted.

Prior to the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, priority issues of industrial cooperation were substantively considered within the framework of the Subcommission for industrial cooperation under the leadership of Alexei Gruzdev and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Huang Quok Wuong.

With the participation of interested Russian and Vietnamese companies, the sides agreed on the steps to further promote promising projects and take the initiatives of mutual interest to implementation.

‘Considering Vietnam as a strategic partner in Asia, we are striving to find new drivers that will unlock the potential for cooperation in the industrial sector,’ said the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Izolyator has been actively working for a long time to develop cooperation and export its high-voltage bushings to Vietnam.

Today, the company greatly appreciates and thanks its Vietnamese colleagues for the opportunity to conduct a productive and open dialogue with power engineers and manufacturers of electrical products, including the Vietnamese state energy company Vietnam Electricity and, in particular, the state electric grid company EVN National Power Transmission Corporation, as well as Electrical Equipment Manufacturer Dong Anh Electrical Equipment Corporation.

The participants in the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission emphasized the potential of Russian-Vietnamese relations, as well as the prospects for working with Russian industrial enterprises in the field of modernization of high-voltage equipment and support for the Vietnam energy sector.
