Meeting of the Technical Committee of the Russian National Committee of CIGRE

On 6 December 2019, the leadership of the National Study Committee D1 of the Russian National Committee of CIGRE (NSC D1 RNC CIGRE) took part in the meeting of the Technical Committee of the RNC CIGRE in Moscow.

Russian National Committee of International Council on Large Electric Systems (RNC CIGRE) as a legal entity was established in 2003. At present the Committee counts over 60 collective and over 460 individual members.

RNC CIGRE aims to represent the national interests at CIGRE and to assist in exchanging technical knowledge, experience and feedback in various fields of CIGRE activity for all its members.

The most important objective of the committee is attraction of the best Russian power industry companies to scientific and technical cooperation as research base organizations for CIGRE National Study Committees.

The RNC CIGRE’s Technical Committee manages the scientific and technical activities of the association, the personal and quantitative composition of the committee is approved by the RNC CIGRE Presidium on the proposal of the Chairman of the Technical Committee for a period of four years.

The meeting was chaired by the General Director of Inter RAO — Engineering Yury Sharov.

The National Study Committee D1 of RNC CIGRE was represented by the Head of the Committee, CEO of Zavod Izolyator LLC, Dr. Alexander Slavinsky and Committee Coordinator Vladimir Ustinov.

The management of NSC D1 of RNC CIGRE submitted for approval by the RNC CIGRE’s Technical Committee a proposal for the creation of Problem Work Group D1.1 “Identification of degradation markers of mineral transformer oils using IR spectroscopy”. The problem work group was initiated by Dr. Sc. Marcel Garifullin, professor at the Department of Electric Networks and Systems, Kazan State Power Engineering University, Deputy Head of the department for scientific work.
