Presentation of Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH Technologies
On 26 February 2019, there was a presentation of new technologies of the German industrial company Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH at Izolyator plant.
Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH (MR) is a leading company within the Reinhausen Group. For 30 years, MR has designed and manufactured insulation tubes from glassfiber reinforced epoxy resin. Based on this know-how and experience, MR expanded activities in the insulation materials business and started production of hollow composite insulators in MR-quality. A specially created company Reinhausen Power Composites GmbH has made those insulators since August 2009. It is a 100 % subsidiary of MR. Under the brand name ReCoTec® (Reinhausen Composite Technology) a continuously growing range of hollow insulators with silicone rubber sheds for outdoor applications as well as without sheds for indoor use is made.

At the presentation, technical features and technological specifics of silicones of various type, used in making of compound insulators, which in turn are used as external insulation of high-voltage bushings on Izolyator’s ultra-high voltage units, were presented.
