Krasnoyarsk HPP operates in the Krasnoyarsk energy system of the Unified Power System of Siberia. The average annual output of the Krasnoyarsk HPP is 18.3 billion kWh. In terms of the installed capacity of 6,000 MW, the hydroelectric power plant ranks second in Russia and is one of the ten largest hydroelectric power plants in the world. In Russian production, the share of electricity from the Krasnoyarsk HPP is up to 2.8 %, while the share in the volume of hydroelectric power generation reaches 13.5 %. The plant is a subsidiary of the EuroSibEnergo energy company, which manages the energy assets of the Russian industrial En+ Group.

svel-en.jpgThe SVEL Group is a leader among national manufacturers of the electrotechnical equipment. It is a producer of power dry-type and oil-immersed transformers, provider of solutions in electric power quality improvement and electric network protection. SVEL Group is also taking advantage of its cutting edge technologies to be a reliable provider in such products as switchgears, packaged transformer substations, instrument transformers, circuit breakers and disconnectors.

This operation marked the first stage of a large-scale project for the comprehensive replacement of oil-immersed power transformers. The re-equipment of the station is part of a comprehensive program for the modernization of Siberian hydroelectric power plants by En + Group New Energy.

The transformer was designed and custom-made under an individual order for the Krasnoyarsk HPP by SVEL Group.

The transformer is equipped with modern instrumentation a system for monitoring and diagnostics of transformer equipment. It allows you to monitor the parameters of the transformer and generate forecasts regarding its technical condition online. This means timely identification and elimination of defects in equipment operation.

The transformer is equipped with 252 kV Izolyator high-voltage bushings.
