Visit of management representatives of Kazakhstan electrical companies Alageum Electric and Asia Trafo

On 26 April 2021 Izolyator received a visited of management representatives of the Kazakh energy holding Alageum Electric and Asia Trafo transformer plant, which is part of it.

Alageum Electric — the largest electrotechnical company in Kazakhstan, includes more than 30 large enterprises and plants successfully operating in the field of electric power, electric machine industry and construction.
Production of the Alageum Electric company conforms to the Kazakhstan and international quality standards and is exported to the CIS countries and the Middle East.
Asia Trafo is located in Shymkent. AsiaTrafo is part of Alageum Electric holding company.
AsiaTrafo — the largest plant in Central Asia for the production of transformer equipment.
The main products of the plant are power oil transformers and autotransformers of voltages class 126, 252, 550 kV with capacity up to 500 MVA, as well as reactors. The design capacity of the plant is more than 12 000 MVA per year.

The key topic of the meeting was the creation of a Russian-Kazakh joint venture for the production of high-voltage insulating equipment. The new enterprise is planned to be built at the production facilities of the Asia Trafo plant.

A tour of the Izolyator high-voltage bushings production complex and high-voltage cable accessories facility of Izolyator-AKS took place.

At the tour of the Izolyator Production Complex, Alexander Slavinsky demonstrated the main technological stages of manufacturing and testing of high-voltage bushings with solid internal insulation.

Viktor Pshennov, Technical Director of Izolyator-AKS, presented the latest equipment for the production of cable joints and outdoor terminations as well as cable connectors for 126 and 252 kV voltages.

Then a visit to the corporate museum took place, where, along with the milestones in the centuries-old history of the Izolyator plant, special emphasis was made on strong results in the development of international cooperation.

In addition to the business agenda of the visit, on this day the guests took part in the opening ceremony of the exposition ‘Immortal Regiment of Izolyator plant’, which took place on the eve of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.

In the result of the meeting, the parties made a joint decision to start preparing an agreement on the establishment of a Russian-Kazakh joint venture.
