Qualifying stage of the XII Case-in Championship at the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University named after V. I. Lenin

On 28 March 2024, the Izolyator Group took an expert part in the qualifying stage of the Student League in the Electric Power Engineering section of the main season of the XII International Case-in Engineering Championship, which went in full-time format at the State Power Engineering University named after V. I. Lenin.

The Student League of Case-in International Engineering Championship is a competition consisting of remote qualification rounds based in universities, face-to-face semi-finals in federal districts with a possibility of remote connection, and the final on-site stage in Moscow. The main season’s competitions are held from February to May, the autumn cup — from September to December. Case-in International Engineering Championship is an international competition system for solving engineering cases for schoolchildren, students and young specialists in the fuel and energy and mineral resource sectors, nuclear industry and related industries. The cases are based on the most relevant industry tasks proposed by the partner companies of the championship. The solutions offered by the participants are evaluated by an expert commission consisting of representatives of government bodies, leading companies, universities and industry research and educational centers. The project is supported by the autonomous non—profit organization ‘Russia is a country of opportunities’ and is implemented within the framework of the federal project ‘Social Elevators for everyone’ of the national project ‘Education’.

The Izolyator Group was represented in the expert commission by its head, Head of CIGRE National Study Committee D1, CIGRE Study Committee D1 Regular Member, Head of the Department of Physics and Technologies of Electrical Materials and Components of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electrification of National Research University ‘Moscow Power Engineering Institute’ Dr. Alexander Slavinsky.

The CIGRE National Study Committee D1 ‘Materials and Emerging Test Techniques’ (CIGRE NSC D1) operates on the basis of Izolyator-VV Production Complex of Izolyator Group, which was granted the status of the Leading Scientific and Technical Partner of Russian National Committee of CIGRE.

The subject area of CIGRE NSC D1 consists of new and existing materials and technologies for the electric power complex, technologies for diagnosing materials in the electric grid complex, and technologies for testing electrical materials.

For his expert work at the qualifying stage of the Case-in International Engineering Championship, Alexander Slavinsky was awarded a letter of gratitude from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the annual national partner of the championship.
