Business mission in Algeria: direct dialogue on prospects for cooperation

On November 11-12, 2025, Izolyator Group of Companies participated in a multidisciplinary business mission in Algeria for Russian companies.

Algeria is an industrial and agrarian country in the north of Africa. The leading positions in the economy are maintained by the public sector, the leading industry is the oil and gas industry. The manufacturing industry is represented by metallurgical, machine-building, oil refining, chemical, pulp and paper and electrical engineering enterprises, as well as facilities for processing agricultural raw materials. Algeria has been one of Russia's leading trading partners in Africa for several years. Significant areas of Russian-Algerian cooperation include projects in the energy, metallurgical, iron ore and automotive industries. Russian companies are interested in increasing the supply of their machine-building products to Algeria, in particular equipment for the oil and gas and mining industries, automotive, railway and special equipment, road construction and agricultural machinery. The Business Mission (La mission D'affaires Multisectorielle En Algérie 2025) was organized by the Russian Export Center and the Russian Trade Mission in Algeria with the support of the Russian-Algerian Business Council.

As part of the campaign, Izolyator Group held numerous meetings with Algerian companies, where the directions and prospects for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation were comprehensively discussed.

Negotiations with SONATRACH and SONELGAZ companies took a special place.

Société Nationale de Transport et de Commercialization des Hydrocarbures (SONATRACH) is an Algerian state—owned oil and gas company that holds a monopoly in the country in the field of exploration, production, transportation, refining and sale of oil and natural gas. It is the largest company on the African continent in terms of economic indicators among enterprises of all types of activity.

Société Nationale de l'Electricité et du Gaz (SONELGAZ) is an Algerian state—owned electric power and gas company engaged in the production, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity, as well as the distribution and sale of natural gas within the country.

During the dialogue, issues such as the volume of needs for high-voltage insulation equipment, the procedure for agreeing on the technical characteristics of the purchased equipment and its further delivery, the terms of product certification and a number of other fundamental issues, the coordination of which is necessary to build sustainable and long-term cooperation, were raised.

The business mission aroused wide interest from the media. A representative of the Izolyator Group gave an interview to the Russian RT Arabic TV channel and the Algerian newsletter DK News Quotidien National D'information, where he spoke about the group's structure and the specialization of its divisions, products and services provided.

The rich program of the business mission, among other events, included a business session, as well as a round table of Russian and Algerian companies, during which the current issues of bilateral economic relations were discussed.

One of the meetings with potential partners in Algeria

A total of 17 Russian manufacturers representing a wide range of key export industries arrived in Algeria as part of the delegation.

More than 120 Algerian companies attended the business mission's events. As a result, over 150 business meetings with potential partners were held during the two days of work, direct contacts were established, and promising areas of joint activity were identified.

The business mission was a vivid confirmation of the mutual interest of Algeria and Russia in expanding cooperation.

Organizing such events is one of the effective tools of the Russian Export Center to support Russian exporters in exploring new promising markets, allowing them to establish direct contacts with foreign partners and present their products.
